This is the
Canon EOS 20D's attempt to focus on infinity. I can't explain the
star trails! F/3.5, 10-second exposure at ISO 1600. Image

Looking over
the roof of my house, this is a good shot of the Pleiades and
Taurus. The aurora was almost touching the eastern horizon.
Camera settings: f/3.5, 10 seconds at ISO 400.

This is my
favourite. Not only does it show the colourful light show, the
Andromeda Galaxy is obvious at lower centre. Still images don't do
justice to the sky that night - it was like looking up into a rocket
exhaust! 15 seconds at ISO 400.

Another
eastward view over the house, this time showing more of Perseus.
Most of my images had stray-light reflections - from cars leaving
the driveway. 15 seconds at ISO 400.

The rising
sun from Watrous, Saskatchewan. Image taken on January 29, 2004. |

The moon
shining through a halo of clouds. The subtle rainbow colors are
not visible in the image but it was a very pretty sight! |

The moon

Staring down
the tracks from a moving train. The moon was just setting on the
morning of February 6th, 2004. |

The setting
moon in the shadow of the earth. The sun was not above the
eastern horizon yet. The pink band is known as the Belt of Venus. |
