This image of Venus transiting the sun was taken at 10:20 AM local time in Germany.  The transit was finished by 1:03 PM.

The Venus Transit from Germany.  This was taken at 8:00 AM local time from a hotel room using Baader solar film and a finderscope on a tripod. The transit started at 7:20 AM.

This is the "Spiegelteleskop" which is a 42" F4.5 dobsonian.  There were always line-ups at this one!

There were some large telescopes at the ITV including this one.

In May 2004, I also attended the ITV near Fulda (north of Frankfurt).  It's Germany's largest star party with 700 - 800 attendees.

A picture of my observing site during the ÄTB in Central Germany during August 2003.  It is near the community of Hertingshausen.
