Membership

Membership is open to everyone with an interest in astronomy.  It does not require any knowledge of astronomy (the fun is in the learning!) and you do not have to own a telescope.  We enjoy helping beginners because there are so many fascinating things to see.

Membership Benefits

National Club Benefits:

  • A subscription to the Journal of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.  This magazine-style bulletin contains the latest news in astronomy in Canada.  The topics are both amateur and professional in nature.

  • A copy of the annual Observer's Handbook, one of the best reference books for astronomers.

  • Access to the National Library in Toronto.

  • A subscription to the Canadian astronomy magazine, SkyNews.  An excellent publication, which is published by the National Museum of Science and Technology in Ottawa.

Regina Centre Benefits:

  • Access to the Kalium Observatory located at the Saskatchewan Science Centre which houses the Saskatchewan Millennium Telescope:  a Meade 12" LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain reflecting telescope.

  • Access to the club's two - 8" reflectors and access to the Meade 10" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.
